“A BALANCE OF EDUCATION AT HOME AND SCHOOL MOULDS A STUDENT’S ACTUAL LEARNING. GOOD PARENT-TEACHER RELATIONS LEAD THE CHILD TO BE POSITIVE TOWARD ATTENDING SCHOOL..”
CEO of company
Our job is to provide them with a stimulating and challenging time, both inside and outside the classroom. We provide a Standardized curriculum and evaluation process in school for each student to be placed on the regional examination board while additionally having alternative learning practices in lower and upper primary schools.
Through a lively curriculum and a varied range of activities, we strive to embed the necessary skills for the educational challenges which our pupils will face in the years ahead. We aim to meet the needs of all our children and have rigorous procedures to identify and meet the needs of children with special educational requirements.
Our children are encouraged to be adventurous and challenging in their search for truth, to engage in the process of learning, to enjoy learning for its own sake, and to continue learning after they leave school.
We place a premium on integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness from an early age.
Our caring, experienced teachers know how to get the most out of students by tapping into their natural curiosity with a creative curriculum that employs practical, interactive teaching techniques. This approach allows our students to flourish both academically and socially. IGOS selects teachers who are great and outstanding in their teaching work. Teachers engage many different storytelling techniques in the lower primary school to spread knowledge in Somali and English so that every learner can be an accomplished bilingual. We offer excellent sport, an exceptional music calendar, and rich art and drama opportunities, alongside an outdoor life from playing in the fields. A rich extra-curricular calendar complements pupils’ more formal learning to help them build strong peer groups and gain in confidence. Our IGOS graduates always have a community connection and bond with other graduates around the world…
IGOS is structured to incorporate innovative teaching practices and a curriculum embodied to achieve targeted goals. Positive relationships and IGOS ethos underpin our pastoral care; we listen to children, and their voices are valued and heard. We encourage the pupils to develop honest and equal relationships with others.
